Hm. Probably for the same reason 18-year-olds can enlist in the military and die in combat??

So far, the highest turnout during a midterm for this voting bloc is 2018 when about 31% of young people who are eligible to vote cast a ballot." why because at 18 you should be out of school and able to stand on your own 2 feet. at 18 you can be drafted sent to the frontlines to soon become hamburger meet . the problem is not the age part of it could be in the raising. not very many of us had sense enough get in out of the rain at 18. ive seen 25 year old bad as 16 year old

I agree but take note that no one gets drafted anymore and modern battle fields do not come with a "front line."

PS. I know 70 y/old's that should not be allowed to vote :)

no but one still registers' for the draft and we can join the military at 18 i dont understand the world seems most has tilted to the left .politics has played a big part in the church. example a church needs a pastor the first thing asked is education. do you have a degree ? i am not against education . common sense goes with education. why is the church in favor of abortion ? we hear the argument from some of the women. its my body my right

They can't! It is a result of Liberalism which questions the Word of God!

The key here is............"They call themselves Christians".

A born again Christian can not vote for anyone who is on favor of abortion or homosexual rights.

1 John 2:19 says it all..........
" They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."

I agree!

Congress changed the law in 1942 to allow 18 year olds to be drafted and fight in WW2, In 1971 the Congress changed voting age to 18 because of the Vietnam war.

When I was 18, I did not have a clue who to vote for neither did I care.

Agreed on both counts.

Military service is by volunteer not drafted.

Personally I think the voting age should be 25.

Their cohort, particularly young people of color, played a key role in “flipping” battleground states including Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania, and the estimated youth turnout increased significantly from 2016.

(Four years ago). Alabama’s law mandating an almost blanket ban on abortion, the strictest in the United States, was passed by this group of exclusively white, male Republican politicians.

I was a first sergeant in the military, so I know all about 18 year old soldiers. The most dangerous thing in the world is an 18 year old soldier in possession of a rifle unless he/she has firm, positive leadership.

The 18 year old voters are brainwashed idealists whose public school teachers have taught them to be what the communists call "useful idiots". They are responsible for electing a group of leaders who have Balkanized the country through identity politics and turned America into another banana republic like Russia where political opponents are persecuted and jailed by a weaponized legal system.

I was thinking this morning (now that is dangerous) that the common thread of a theological liberal and a political liberal is that both attack the foundational documents whether it be the Bible or the Constitution of a country.
 
Really, 25? So, you can enlist in the military, buy property, get married, have children, but you should not be able to vote? Let's assume that the 27% of 18 - 29 voted to the left, what about the 24% you would need to get to 51?

Destroying the current system, whatever it may be, is the mark of a progressive advocate. Progressives are under the mistaken impression that progress is on an infinite continuum with "progress" having no possible termination point. They are, in fact, nihilists seeking to destroy whatever disagrees with their particular flavor of idealism. Progressive Idealists are actually a danger to humanity and to civilization when they gain power over others.
