It's awful what I did to your nose.... HAHAHAHA.

I know that your humour will DELIVER me from EX-COMMUNICATION. :D
Big Moose ... What part of my post are you rubbing your chin over???????

The fact that my attempt to make Davey Do's nose look 3D turned out more like a spooky creature from the abyss??
or the fact that I may possibly need his forgiveness and mercy??? :D

In Awe of Him:

You have given me such support in the past which I appreciated, yet now, you have given me the ultimate honor of your great rendition of my character, Davey Do, and a video that I enjoyed watching.

RARELY do I watch videos members on other websites download on my original art threads because I find them to be the result of sophomoric association, but the video you downloaded was RIGHT ON!

You, my dear In Awe of Him, are a true artist in every sense of the word, in that you are driven to create your own original art, but also deeply appreciate work by other artists.

I doff my proverbial hat to you!

This work was created, upon arising this morning, inspired from a dream:

Two things:
1. What did you do to the nose???? Me thinks you were drawing the nose and half way through you self consciously tickled the drawing's nose and your nose at the same time and caused you both to sneeze. Oh, and can you tell I have a vivid imagination?
2. How could we EVER excommunicate you, when you are as lovable as it gets.

I ended up buying a platinum Japan 1919 fountain pen. Mine is a beautiful burnt orange... with a silver band around the pen lid.
My nib is a medium ( without even knowing what that means )... However... I tried the same pen with a finer nib and that did not work for me.
Which makes sense to me because I don't enjoy using fine point pens.

Anyways... I bought a pack of 10 black ink cartridges. VERY VERY happy with my purchase.

Edit... I am going to have to check out Staples and see if I can buy some good quality paper that would allow me to write with a fountain pen on both sides.

I also took out my watercolour palette this morning and experimented with my different brushes and colour combinations. I also own a nice stainless steel box of 72 coloured pencils... a very cheap box of oil pastels and also a cheap set of acrylic colours. Have no idea how to use the acrylic. So.... LOTS to work with and excited to start digging in.

Thank you for the ARTISTIC inspiration Davey Do . God Bless you.

Leuchtturm 1917 is pretty good paper for fountain pens. They sell A5 (5.5" x 8") notebooks in lined, dot-grid or blank paper at decent affordability.

If you want drawing paper then pick up some Bristol Board. It's not cheap but will hold a lot of ink. That's the paper used by professional comic book artists.
