Are we saved by Grace alone thru faith alone?

Let me go back to this statement of yours.
When you say 'we must participate in our salvation' isn't this an admission that we already have salvation? Otherwise how do we participate in something we don't yet have?
Yes, I believe we receive salvation as a gift and we are regenerated for good works. Not that we must have good works before we are regenerated.

I for one believe that any Trinitarian Baptism applies the blessings promised in scripture. To me, since water baptism has not salvation in it, then The amount of water simply isn’t the issue, to me. The real flaw here is that so many see Baptism as Law instead of Gospel.
Since the Assemblies of God has no "Sacraments", and only TWO "Ordinances" (things we do because we believe Jesus instructed us to), which are "Baptism" in water by immersion in the three titles, and "Communion" normally served once a month.

Neither per AOG have any effectual grace in them!

I would think this needs to be compared with Paul's statement...

Romans 3:28 (KJV) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Paul spends three whole chapters in Romans describing how a person is just before God. After pronouncing ALL have sinned he comes out with the good news that it is faith in the Person and work of Jesus Christ that justifies a person apart from (our) works of the law.
James on the other hand spends about 10 verses showing that saving faith is accompanied by works for men to see but before God it is the initial faith that justifies.
Even though Abraham was justified by faith in Gen 15.6, James takes up the act of Abraham sacrificing his on the altar Gen 22, many years of growing in faith had transpired in the meantime. (Notice James did not bring up the failures of Abraham along the way).
So God, who alone sees the heart, declares us righteous when faith is present, followed by growing in good works. (Paul)
Those good works are made manifest for all to see (James).
James is just stating that one who has been really saved and now as eternal life will be able to show that by good works, not that they are any part of saving them, but the fruit of being saved!

How many or what quality of good works will one need 'to show' that they have 'really' been saved?

As Calvin himself stated on this, while we are indeed saved by grace alone thru faith alone, saving faith will not be alone, as it will have evidence of some fruit to support it!

Right, I've heard most all the sayings, I was just wondering 'how little or how much works need to accompany faith in order for that faith to have sufficient evidence for support?'.

Why do works follow and who should get the glory for those works?
why ask why what does the Bible say ? Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. james says faith works . when you do something in Christ name is because you want to impress God ? or why ? what is vainglory? you can answer your own question there is the answer

actually works has nothing to do with being saved. yes there is obedience to what the Holy spirt leads us to do . some think you have dot every I cross every T to be saved, some think you have to beg and plead to be forgiven... Not so 1 john 1:9 we confess to him then repent by Godly sorrow if we give a cup of cold water in his name . that is works
