As I said in the OP, the Bible contains the greatest wisdom. But in my humble opinion, the Bible also contains some of the greatest absurdities. I need to hear from God not from a book.
I think that is not a humble opinion: you can just ask a question or that something is not clear....
But i think you already judge when you say something is absurd.
I'm not telling anyone that I know how they should live their life. I'm not giving anyone instructions or recommendations.
Yup, you may not be giving instruction, but you are being judgmental by calling the OT laws as absurdities.
I will say however that I have also been a member of atheist forums and ex-Christian forums.
Ah ok. We are all students of life: we choose our teachers.
David delights in the law, he sees beauty and wisdom.... those atheist see ugliness...
Psalm 1
King James Version (KJV)
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish

New King James Version (NKJV)
No Other Doctrine
3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine, 4 nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith. 5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, 6 from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, 7 desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm.
