Agreed. They were obviousely there and were driven out.

I am wondering however if "Into joy" was meaning that there size was LIED about or exaggerated by those 10 spies?

Being in a strange land, alone......fear can cause mind games on the individual.
but making an analogy is no more a lie, then Jesus calling the Pharisees a "brood of Vipers" .. an analogy is often an embellishment to get a point across ..
the analogy was them and grasshoppers ..

that would be correct ..
Paul explains "spiritual bodies" here .. 1Cr 15:36-50
You mean we agree!!!

Praise the Lord and pass the popcorn!

The way I understand 1 Corth. 15:36-50 is that all believers, dead in the past and Raptured in the future will have a "glorified" body in the resurrection which along with Matt.22 tells us that we just like angles, and can not and do not have the ability to reproduce.

That being understood, then the fallen angels of the past would not have had the ability to mate with human women to reproduce.

Do you understand it that way as well?

Num 13:32 So they gave out to the sons of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone, in spying it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size.

dibbah dibbah .. see Gen 37:2
bad is a poor choice of words by the translator .
unfavorable would have been better ..

negative testimony (dibbah dibbah) does not equate to a lie .. it means they just gave the bad side only ..
God was mad because He was going to give them the land, and they showed a lack of trust God would ..

their "unfavorable report" would equate to Jesus telling Peter to cast out a demon, and Peter returning and saying "the man can rip people apart and eat them for breakfast, it is better we leave him alone" ..

BTW: I once again agree with you, they feared because of lack of trust in God ..

also note they were not unbelievers as was claimed Num 13:3

idiots ???
it is said when a person denigrates, it is because their position is unsubstantiated ..

they gave a "unfavorable report" because they did not want to fight the Nephilim .. they indeed were much bigger and that scared them ..

they did not lie .. they had trust issues ..
the same as they did wandering for 40 years ..
nor were they unbelievers as you stated ..

Sorry. Idiots was an attempt at shock therapy.

They did not have trust issues during the 40 years did they? Once that judgment took place they were stuck with it.

I was done with what I said. The continual dripping by you instigated a brief return for som slurs hehe.

ok .. I thought it was blame transfer ..
sure they did .. and not one of them entered the promised land ..
they grumbled, made a golden calf, disobeyed and carried the "ark of Molech" and the "Star of Rompha" (another god) with them ..

still denigrating hmmm .. now I have doubts you actually meant it as "shock therapy" .. and makes me also believe my initial analysis was correct ..

Feel free to analyze your beliefs based on my reactions. I'm full persuaded of the truth of Genesis six. Keep searching and discussing this and you too may one day have a firm conviction as well. :)

I'm analyzing your words ..
my conclusion is you are fully persuaded in your power of deduction based on your reading skills ..

hence your battalogeō ..
Greek for yada yada yada ..
or blah blah blah .. take your pick ..

The tragedy for me is how satan attacked womanhood.

In our world men see women thru a dirty lens. What God created as the fulfillment to man Satan
attacked early on. When I look at an attractive woman and I am tempted to lust after her I think about how bad it is to be a woman. Bad because God did not create women to be the objects of lustful desires yet in our world they are.

Because I see the sons if God as the fallen angels, I see the evil one's desire to turn women into objects of sinful desires. What a tragedy.

The attempt to pollute the human race failed and the offspring of that attempt were all destroyed in the flood. But the damage to women has remained and it is heart wrenching.

First,
scripture says you are wrong ..

Num 13:33 "There also we saw the Nephilim the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim; and we became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."

as is said in Hebrew .. yada yada yada .. which equates to blah blah blah ..

perhaps you would do well if you did not depend on your own reasoning ..
First, let's remember to always stay calm, kind, and express ourselves without growing frustrated on differing opinions. By these we can learn more. Second, why did they have to have lied? Perhaps there were giants, but the ten simply didn't have the faith like Caleb and Joshua to know and be assured that God would overcome them.

How
Num 13:32 So they gave out to the sons of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone, in spying it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size.

How are they described as unbelievers in the third verse? It just says 'men.'

Where were the ark of molech and the star of rompha mentioned?

Clarifications and new questions:

#1: Explain situating of Naphtali's placement in reference to Deuteronomy 33:23 ("SOUTHward?")
#2: Where were the firstfruits offered? Only at the Temple or in towns too? (Deuteronomy 26:1-10, Leviticus 23:9-14.) Please provide references for your answer. I'm still unclear about where it gives instructions on timing and placement of this specific sacrifice.
#3: Because the honey Samson ate from the lion's carcass considered an unclean food, what were the repercussions if his actions? Why did the Lord remain with him? His vow was broken, right? Or perhaps because it was a year or so later the lion was decomposed and simply fortified the honey's nutrients...
#4: When were the Kenites carried away by Ashur? (Numbers 24:21-22)
#5: Is the 'boiling' spoken of in
1 Samuel 2 against or not in line with God's law? I thought He already told them what part they would receive. So it should not have been by chance, or whatever came up in the pot. Where/when did God instruct them to boil it in order to come up with the part that belonged to them? It was already decided...
#6: What of (Numbers 21:14) Book of Wars & (Joshua 10:13) the Book of Jasher? Why are they lost when they are referred to within the surviving texts? Were they not Scripture?
#7: Is Kiriathaim the same as Kiriath Jearim?
#8: Lots of questions about Levites...
A. Why was Levi distinguished for this honor despite he and Simeon's sin in Genesis 34? Were they cursed for it? Simeon seems to fade into obscurity...
B. Did Levites who worked in the temple(s), etc. live in a different place than the ones who led normal lives?
C. Did both types live in the Levite towns or did they live separately? D. Did the Levites (both or one kind) live with other people in their towns who belonged to the tribe they were situated in or were the towns exclusively for the Levites?
E. How did the redeeming of the firstborn/Levites work?
#9: Was the king in Jerusalem? When did this start? With Saul? Was there a reason they chose Jerusalem? (Reference?) "David took the Philistine’s head and brought it to Jerusalem; he put the Philistine’s weapons in his own tent." (1 Samuel 17:54 NIV)
#10: Who eventually killed off the Amalekites?
#11: Why were there idols in David's house? (1 Samuel 19:13)
#12: When was the separation of Judah and Israel? There are mentions of Judah separate from Israel beginning around 1 Samuel. (Ex. 1 Samuel 11:8, 17:52, 18:16)
#13: Ruth was a Moabite, who were not allowed to enter the congregation even till the tenth generation. Did this not include proselytes? Deuteronomy 23. People say it doesn't include descendants by foreign women. Reference?

Hey Jamn, I found that Leviticus 3:16 indicates the sons of Eli boiling the meat may actually be against Torah...the fat is the Lord's...boiling first removes the fat...thanks I learned something and will be exploring this further...

In His love
Paul
actually it depends what kind of a korban it is ..
each korban was done differently .. and not all korban would be made into a seder ..

a seder is a religious meal ..
the meal include other traditions as well ..

Sin offering = Korban Chatat or Hataat
(eaten by the Kohanim)
meaning once sacrificed the Jewish Priests eats it ..

guilt offering = Korban Olah
(consumed entirely by the fire of the Mizbayach)
meaning NO ONE ate the sacrifice ..

peace offering = Korban Shelamim
(eaten by the person who brings the sacrifice)
so you make a personal seder ..

thanksgiving offering = korban Todah .. example: Korban Pesach
(shared)
meaning you make a seder for family and usually invite a guest/s ..

Where were the ark of molech and the star of rompha mentioned?
Act 7:42 “But God turned away and delivered them up to serve the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, ‘IT WAS NOT TO ME THAT YOU OFFERED VICTIMS AND SACRIFICES FORTY YEARS IN THE WILDERNESS, WAS IT, O HOUSE OF ISRAEL?
Act 7:43YOU ALSO TOOK ALONG THE TABERNACLE OF MOLOCH AND THE STAR OF THE GOD ROMPHA, THE IMAGES WHICH YOU MADE TO WORSHIP. I ALSO WILL REMOVE YOU BEYOND BABYLON.'

which is interesting .. capital letters denote a direct quotation ..
yet the 850 ad Masoretic Text don't read that way ..
