Contact your spouse, parent(s), children, or friend sometime during the business of the day. Have no agenda other than asking how he or she is doing and if there is anything you could do for them.
My husband has been dealing with a bad tooth ache for over a week. I've been telling him to go to the dentist. Well, when he went to work this morning, I did not know he was going to the dentist. So, when I called him to see how he was doing, he said he was on his way home because he got the tooth pulled. I asked him if there was anything I could do for him and he asked me to meet him outside. He was in too much pain to pick up his medication. So, I went outside to meet him and drove to the pharmacy. So, that part of the Love Challenge was accomplished.
But, the challenge was not complete, I had to go back to "Love Challenge #1 (Demonstrate patience and say nothing negative).
I was challenged so bad that I had to go to prayer hehe. It was like everything he did was a half thought and incomplete. And, I knew that was because of the pain. I sat down and God spoke to my heart and said, "In this lesson, you are to grow in patience. I want you to express the same patience to your husband that I express to you." The only thing I could say was, "thank you Jesus." I went in the bedroom and said to him, "sweetie, what can I do for you?"
So, I said all of that to say that if we take this journey seriously, God will reveal your area of weakness. You will be exposed to that area of weakness more and more until you learn how to handle it in a Godly way.
God bless you,
