Trials and Troubles more precious than gold

Again KJ I will say yoou simply donot understand for if you did you would grasp that Gods wants us in a place where He is obligated to His word. For when we are in this place it means we are operating as He has told us to according to His word. It is not a prideful thing but being confident in His written word. He wants us to be in such a place that HE CAN fulfill what he has promised us.

You are simply placing the just get by with the walking in obedience striving for excellence walk of faith. Of course He will keep you alive and give you just what you need to survive but that is living a very selfish and shallow life in Christ.
Jim, I am pretty sure that if WE had the choice WE would all choose to reach the RICH :giggle::giggle:.

We are to enjoy the things of the world? Paul couldn't wait to leave this dump. Jesus couldn't give two hoots if He walked into down on a donkey, horse or pony. I think Jesus ensured it was a donkey though to send a message of humility. Just like the manger. The King of the universe is born in a manger :giggle:. I love God's humility and the way He makes a point :).

The only Christian that can accept poverty is the Christina that actually has faith in God. God does not put us through what we can't handle. This speaks volumes for those still faithful and in a terrible situation!!

I think we need to have a discussion on what a faithful Christian is!!!

KJ this makes no sense at all. Yea well Jesus chose a donkey because the speed shop was closed and His 64 mustang was on the racks. Give me a break here.

Paul decided if He wanted to leave or stay and he chose to stay. Any Christian who excepts poverty as Gods will simply does NOT know Gods will or His word

1. Do you think God of the universe was accidentally born in a manger?

2. Do you think Christians are leaving the world and desires of the flesh behind...when we pursue the world and desires of the flesh?

3. Do you think God wants us to worry about the things of the world / what we will eat, drink, drive and where we will sleep?

4. Do you believe it takes more faith to believe our Father who we already believe created and died for us will provide our needs?

I have no clue what you are getting at with this..........come on KJ
God being born in a manger speaks to humility / appearance of poverty to the flesh.

God of the universe rode into town on a donkey over a pedigree stallion.

If we want to live by God's word, how can we ignore such?

Paul longed to leave this world. Nothing in it grabbed him, except servitude. You know the point I am making, why you changing the subject / being elusive?

Any Christian who excepts poverty as Gods will simply does NOT know Gods will or His word
Scripture and verse please? Can you also give me your boundaries for poverty. So we can say that any person without X and Y, does ''not know God's will / word''.

Grasping? I was hoping you would see that they did not see the need / have the desire to claim prosperity :cautious:...at all.
Brother you might want to study up on this. Jesus had a tresurer to handle their finances.
When they talk about thee house such as thee house they cut a whole in the roof of....It is Thee house which means it was Jesus's house or His ministry head quarters.

Jesus was not poor bro.........He had a ministry team that went with Him all the time which included two woman for the showing or another words testifying every where they went.
You really need to check thingsout before you use them KJ.
Blessings

NOT poverty to the flesh.
So a manger is a nice place to be born? I think 99.99% of those in poverty would avoid a manger. So it really is flying over my head how you don't see it as a point of poverty to the flesh / God not caring at all about the pleasures of the flesh.

Brother I did not change a thing...........Paul was old and said He had finished his course and run his race and was ready to collect his reward but he was torn from being with the FATHER or staying to teach those in His life....He chose to stay...........Now that is on point.........

As far as scriptures go KJ ......You have been given scripture after scritpure in thread after thread...........It does no good for you simply twist things.......
YOu have not proved your point......

You know nothing about the whys of Jesus being born in the way he was,,,,,
You write out what ever points you think you have........I will see them later....

1. Jesus was in heaven when Paul and the disciples sold all they had. Yes, they did commune. No, they did not pursue prosperity. Ananias and Sapphira did and died.

2.:LOL::ROFLMAO: Was Jesus and His ministry team booked into 5 star accommodation or hillsides in the country?

And I am waiting for you to make one that stands. Every scripture you have given, I have discussed. John greeting Gaius has been quoted three times here :giggle:. Twist? The irony. You are doing a magic act before me. Making scripture that is crystal clear on us needing to leave the world and desires of the flesh behind 'in Egypt', say the complete opposite.

I am not referring to when he was old. I don't think he was torn. From day one after He met Jesus Paul believed and taught this / Christians still on earth feel like this / like the world suffering this curse: Rom 8:19- For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. This freedom and glory is not earthly treasure.

23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies.

A Christian cannot be happy on earth, we are content. A nicer car or house does not help toward either happiness or contentment for the spiritual life a Christian is supposed to live.
