Faun is a Folk band from Germany, they cover Celtic, Norse and Mediterranean music, I tried posting a song called Pearl.

For the record, my favorite song is "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas." It reminds me of my youth and my two oldest friends (Javier and Henry), one of which lost his battle with alcohol addiction and died in his mid 50s.

I knew that Kansas is one of your favorite bands and I'm with you.

I read a little background of their history. Their lead guitarist Kerry Livgren is a Christian musician and was credited with writing Dust in the Wind
and Carry On Wayward Son. These songs remain two of my favorites.

Hi, Via dolarossa - Perhaps I can jump in for a moment. As a bass guitarist since 1963, I have encountered many types of stringed and keyed instruments, including the "Hurdy-Gurdy." The information in the first info track below gives a good run down on how it works and the second track below is a brief presentation of the sounds that it can produce.

Hello Pastor Gary;

Does the Hurdy-Gurdy have any lyrical meaning in Donovan's Hurdy-Gurdy Man? It came out in 1968. I really didn't like this song but remember it was played on the radio so many times.

Have these instruments upgraded to play without the wind-up mechanism?

Not familiar with the 1968 song that you mentioned.

The crank on the Hurdy Gurdy doesn't wind up anything. It TURNS a rotating wheel that the strings contact when the various keys are pressed. The rotating wheel does essentially the same job as a bow for a violin.

Wow! The lyrics in this rap bounced and flowed. One thing that stands out with me in music is the vocals have to be understood. These performers have good ununciation.

I'm curious. How many times have you listened to Human Nature?
