Both times would be in a state of disobedience! If baptism and the Lord's Supper is something we are 'commanded to do', what is the result of not doing them and does that turn baptism and the Lord's Supper into law rather than a means of grace?

indeed, as its for all humanity, while the water baptism and communion address to the saved!IMHO marriage is not an "ordinance" that is pertaining to the Baptist faith. IT is however something that God instigated for all humanity.
That sounds like the Oneness cult!In the past few years, I have been noting different views and methods of water baptism. Many denominatiions around here (Mennonites, Church of the Brethern, Amish) stem from Anabaptist immigrants (Anabaptist refers to not baptizing infants). Most will not say that Baptism saves anyone, but they say it is an expected act of obedience.
There are those that say that if you were baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, you need to be baptized again, specifically in the name of Jesus they cite the book of acts such as Acts 10:48.
In the Church of the Brethren, one is immersed once in the name of the Father, Once in the name of the Son, and once in the name of the Holy Spirit. They also bow forward for each immersion rather than leaning back.
Jesus gave great importance though to each of them!I don't attach much importance to either. I take communion when it's offered, and I got Baptized Because the Baptists like to get you in the tank as soon as they can after you're saved.
sacraments are seen as imparting effecual grace towards thnose partaking, but is not the Grace of Calvary fully sufficient?interesting

The same kind of disobedience when we fail to love the Lord with ALL our heart, ALL our soul, ALL our mind and ALL our strength? Both times would be in a state of disobedience!
No, more like direct disobeying Lord! The same kind of disobedience when we fail to love the Lord with ALL our heart, ALL our soul, ALL our mind and ALL our strength?
Mark 12:30 (KJV) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
According to some religious paradigms - including yours apparently.Jesus gave great importance though to each of them!
If we fail to keep the first and greatest command, I guess it's downhill from there unless we are covered by the One who imputes a Greater Obedience to our accountNo, more like direct disobeying Lord!
They cannot be mixed, as its all grace or its not! What if (shock horror) you get saved by grace and faith...together?
Or is that not possible. Do they have to be...alone.
scriptures stated both were imprtant, as we take communion until jesus second Coming, and all saved commanded to be baptized!According to some religious paradigms - including yours apparently.
NONE save Jesus though can and ever kept that as God intended! If we fail to keep the first and greatest command, I guess it's downhill from there unless we are covered by the One who imputes a Greater Obedience to our account
Mark 12:30 (KJV) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Romans 5:19 (KJV) For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous..
That was my point and the point of Rom 5:19.NONE save Jesus though can and ever kept that as God intended!
"Grace" (unmerited favor) is why you weren't obliterated the first time you SINNED and fell short of God's Glory. "Grace" is why you've survived and given a chance to be cleansed by Jesus' SIN OFFERING on Calvary. FAITH Heb 11:1) is God's gift enabling you to Repent of your sin, become born again, and be indwelled by the holy Spirit (Eph 2:8,9).What if (shock horror) you get saved by grace and faith...together?
