We have Registered Retirement Saving Plans that can be accessed early with penalty, but as it isn't a hefty sum of money and my husband is just 63, we are wondering if we should cash them in now, rather than wait until age 65.
I can't advise you on such a move. You need to pray and ask the Lord and do what peace He puts into your heart.
Definitely. I am just wondering lately if that is a move we need to consider, what with the economic climate right now.
A number of people are talking about "signs" that are converging this year. The tetrad of blood moons (total lunar eclipse) starting in 2014, 2 of which occurred on passover and the feast of tabernacles, followed in 2015 also falling on passover (April) and tabernacles (Sept), along with the end of the 49th shmita year (also end of Sept) and the 2015-2016 years as Jubilee are signs that all kinds of bad things will happen. The last 2 tetrads occurred 1949-50 (Israel was formed) and 1967-68 (they got back Jerusalem) and that this 3rd tetrad will see their Temple return. Some are indicating that the Tribulation will start in the Jubilee year. Please remember that the reason for Israel's exile in Babylon was caused by their not following the shmita command of the Lord, leading to the 70 week prophecy of Daniel. Just saying.

well Jesus warned people of hell, he didn't go round warning ppl their money was going to go down the drain. That's a given anyway. You can't take it with you.
I'm just not worried/bothered/concerned with it that's all. The Lord will provide everything, so why should we care?
Just reminds me of those ppl who put their trust in money markets and the sharemarket crashing. Maybe should be warning these ppl of Hell rather than where their money is gonna go.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Jesus is our sign. Since we already have him, we just follow him.

If you just wanna preach to goats, well...you going down the wrong road. They wont listen, they love their money more than God and theyll probably commit suicide rather than follow Jesus to the end.
If you preaching in the natural, you are preaching a different gospel. Jesus warns hellfire for these ppl, whos god is their belly. You will lose everything, not just your money.

Um, i dont see 'economic downturn' in the bible. Everyones been thru recessions and depressions before.
The signs jesus was talking about was not that.
It was the resurrection, but before that...he said about the weather..the moon turning to blood, etc. nothing bout money. He also said ppl be marrying and giving to marriage, life as usual...and then sudden destruction coming upon ppl.
