The emphasis should always be on Christ and what He has done. Keeping commandments is valueless if it is not done from faith in God. "everything that does not come from faith is sin" (Romans 14:23). Sure some people by willpower can keep the commandments, but if not from faith they are not keeping the commandments. Asking for change by works isn't helping. When we understand God's love (if saved) we keep the commandments out of love for God and because we are humbled by all He has done and continues to do for us. We have faith and trust in God and know that what He asks of us is for our own good, not to harm us.

When in faith God will use the Holy Spirit to help with the things that a person struggles with. If not by the Holy Spirit the person is doing a spiritual battle on their own. The idea is not to change one's sin nature, which for the saved is nailed to the cross. The idea is to walk in God's Spirit in His righteousness. In doing this the person doesn't do the sin because they are acting from God, not their flesh.

The emphasis should always be on loving God and living that love ..
believing in God is valueless unless your love is real and first in your life ..

if I have all Faith as to move mountains but do not have love, I am NOTHING ..

no one is asking her to change by works .. but by FINDING TRUE LOVE OF GOD ..
that is not always true .. see Job ..

the idea IS "to change one's sin nature", AND become a new creature in Christ ..

what is God in retrospect to Severus ???

God is an important and cosmic being that saves people only if the people respect God and do things what God wants. But Severus is the man who will be my husband... The perfect man what I always thought about... I'm not using God though... But I expect God to let me enter Heaven.

First of all I guess you ignored this statement that I made in my post. "When we understand God's love (if saved) we keep the commandments out of love for God and because we are humbled by all He has done and continues to do for us."

Second, when saved the sin nature is dead, so no it is not to change the sin nature, but to walk in Christ's Spirit and the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law" (Galatians 5:22-23).

"For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,a that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
8Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God" (Romans 6:5-6:10).

first of all, scripture does not support salvation on earth ..
it supports salvation as a viable hope IF we endure in His love ..
God promise is like money in the bank IF we endure in that love ..
DOING is PART OF BELIEVING ..
IF you love, you also do .. they are INSEPARABLE ..

second, (while awaiting salvation) you still sin .. NO ???
then HOW is your sin nature dead ???
the idea IS to destroy the ego (sin nature) ..
we are a work in progress (being perfected by the love between God and us) ..

so IF you were crucified with Him .. then WHY do Christians still sin ???

God loves you so much but you are wanting another above Him. The Bible says that God is a jealous God. Isaiah 54:5 says that He "...is your Husband, The Lord of Hosts is His Name; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth".

Jesus died to save us and it is our belief and acceptance of this act of God's grace that we are saved, NOT by doing what God wants.
His Many Song is right Polly. God died to save people from their sins. God loves people and knows things we don't know. He died because he loves you and wants you to be with Him forever. I know God died for me to pay for my sins. That is why I am so thankful to Him and love Him. I know God did this because He loves me, but I know that I could never be perfect on my own. Only through God am I seen as holy. Not on my own.

indeed .. we NEVER reach perfection on earth ..
BUT .. if you do not TRY to live that love in ALL your words and deeds, then you do NOT love with your ALL, and Jesus says THAT is what imputes salvation when you ENDURE in that ..

Col 3:12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;

acta sanctorum
Hbr 5:9 And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,

God must come first in everything, we need to love Him more than everything and anyone.

Why not take this into private messages since you (Olivia and sweet pea and Allie) don't want our input. Brian wasn't saying anything wrong. Polly brought up idolizing and saying only Atheists and Pagans idolize. He corrected her on this and you attack him for it. Yes we are suppose to show love and I feel everyone commenting on here is doing so out of love. If we didn't care what happens to Polly we would just ignore her completely.

Um, what did I say that led you to that conclusion??

And the tulpae is the main issue here, not the music, not the clothing, not the movies. She claims to be saved so taking that as fact since we don't know the heart we have to assume she is saved. So she states she loves this tulpae and is trying to bring it to life with energy. The energy isn't from God we all know that. She states she kisses and has sex with the tulpae. None of us are saying she is doing this, she is saying it sooo we aren't judging her, she is judging herself. We all sin and fall short. I was a pagan for 10 years and know what she is doing is demonic and she is tapping into energies she has no idea about. It is no different in a pagan casting a circle and calling in the directions with spirits. I'm not saying I'm all knowing because I use to participate in this; anyone walking in the spirit of God can determine this same thing.

I must have missed that, too.

"At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life" (Titus 3:3-3:7).

What do you think these verses mean?

I understand why you question why people still sin. The answer is because the sin nature is dead by faith. This is the whole point of salvation. By faith we believe what Christ has done for us. By faith we walk in the Holy Spirit according to His fruit. We are new creations by faith in what God did. If you are not in faith you are in sin, yet for those who are saved, when the person had faith for salvation God set His Holy Spirit in them as a promise of their salvation, so even when they sin and go out of faith, the Holy Spirit is in them guaranteeing their salvation and also teaching them to have faith and love.

verse 5 should read "saves" NOT "saved" ..
a translator error that creates contradictions in the bible ..

hence continuity with the rest ..
"might become heirs" ..

Even if you believe that it should be saves (which still can mean the same thing) it still says that it is not by righteous works we have done. How can you say it is by righteous works when the bible says it isn't?

Polly do you have a mental issue you just haven't shared with us? I am being serious, because your reasoning is very clunky, and you won't listen to ANYTHING we say.

I am not saying you aren't saved, but your fruits aren't really showing it. Have you given up anything unholy since you accepted Christ?
