Journal The Cabin

Well... maybe I am losing my mind... because I swear I found a framed photo of a moose that I named Uncle Hank.
and.... I put it behind Bob's chair.

ANYWAYS..... It's all good.... things have gotten mis-placed from the move. HAHA.
Hey, thar Missy - I wuz gonna sit in Bob's chair for a spell but I seen the corner of a picture stuck under the cushion and it wuz Uncle Hank's photo.

Here ya are...

SIGH! 🫤!!! The reason Uncle Hank was under my chair was to keep the cushion upright with his antlers. Everyone keeps sitting in my chair. 👺

Oh my goodness BOB!!!!! I think you might be possessed by an owl.... ARE you telling me there was a MOOSE in your chair??? Mr. Moose is NOT going to be happy about that.

And speaking of your chair.... I would like to add that I recently got my OWN chair a few weeks back...OH... it was for my birthday... remember?? Before that.... I NEVER sat in your chair....Mr. Moose used to sit in your chair but then I got him his own chair... and now he just sits in his chair. I'm not sure who has been sitting in your chair... but please hide the evidence of Uncle HANK BEFORE Mr. Moose shows up for supper tonight.

You ever hear of a game called "There's a Moose In The House"??

It's fun. My wife loves it. Object of the game is to put mooses in the rooms of other people's houses.

And here is what it is like having a moose in the house, for realzies. (My sons would be so proud....as they rolled their eyes.)

HAHAHAHA... NOPE..... never heard of the game "There's a Moose in the House"... however... I have heard of a new game where people are hiding little figurines all over the house for people to find... I think I saw this is the form of miniature little cows. Going to look that up... OH my goodness... If I could order a bag of 100 little mooses.... I am IN!!!!!!!

Yes... Uncle Hank's picture is back where it belongs.... and Bob's chair is experiencing technical difficulties... I don't know why he doesn't just buy a new chair.... Maybe he is in need of a Go-fund-me page. :D

Hello and GOOD GRIEF!!!! Good old Lillian.... GONE for the rest of the day....WHO knows where she is .... WE have a MOOSE coming for supper and a little girly snail who is taking the afternoon to wrap a tin of snaily cookies.

Pizza..... or Chinese...... and OH MY!!!! Who just waltzed in with a bag of groceries...
Please forgive my temporary "owl possession" moment.

Apparently she has been busy cooking up a storm in the shed... something about a beef borg-a-long.

I think I will hang out in the attic for the day... It's looking dangerous around here.

Table decorations.... and this is what I see from the attic... I am thinking Gert has been ordering snail stuff from the Amazon again. LOOKIE at those adorable salt and pepper shakers.

Good morning my precious forum family...
As promised... a more serious post from my heart to yours.

We are closing in on the last week of February.... Can you believe that?? WOW... In about 40 days... our temps are going to change DRASTICALLY... ushering in ..... a brand new season. OH my goodness... HOW I love the 4 seasons. Where I live... the four seasons are dramatically different in "mood" and they are what I like most about living slightly north. On top of the fact that I live where the 1740143035051.png live... I absolutely delight in the changes that occur seasonally.... and sadly... I have only seen a moose ONCE... that is because I don't travel much and the bush is usually where they hang out.

Anyways.... a week-end is at our door... and another Thursday grocery day is gone. My poor Margaret has been sick for a few weeks... and so she did not have the energy for my shinannigans... so... I kept them to myself... HAHA.

I am absolutely enjoying writing letters to my pen-pal. I have so far mailed 4... and am currently working on my 5th. My fountain pen is a BEAUTY.... she writes so smoothly. It's been such a joy to pick up on a habit that I did not even realize I missed = writing "snail" mail.

This week-end will be devoted to plucking away at my jigsaw puzzle and finishing my letter. Good grief!!! My puzzle is not going well... which matches this ENTIRE puzzling year which will be ending in a month or so... It has simply been an OFF year for me. I thought surely the fact that the puzzle is sectioned off by smaller photos... it would make the process easier.... however... I am still stuck with the sorting of 1000 pieces so it's NOT separate at all... it is all in my FACE. HAHA. I can't take it apart... because it is a Ravensburger and that would put me in the dog house. HAHA. So...I will continue to pluck away at it. The early afternoon is the best time to work on it for the LIGHT aspect. It's brightest at that time.

My heart is at peace... I have my groove back... and it is WELL with my soul.

Happy FRIDAY to all my wonderful family members.

Do the Moose cookies come from Animal Crackers? They look edible. lol! The snail reminds me of the time when I was overseas, my wife and I (before we were engaged) had dinner at my Uncle's and his daughter. He served like a thousand "escargots." It was my first time and it tasted like a light meat in garlic and butter.

BOB...... BOB..... BOB.... which of those mooses remotely looks like a cookie???? LOOK closely.... hhhhmmmmmmmm.... DO NOT EAT THE MOOSE....... the snail one is the cookie and Frannie made them for Mr. Moose. She was most proud... It took her all afternoon to wrap the tin.
