Major,
She said she saw Jesus - You quote seeing God - I dunno but from here it looks as if you are talking about something different all together.
Lets think about this
Jesus first born again man ( revelation 1:5 )
So Jesus received the new body which is the same body we will receive.
It is in this body that folks saw Him for 40 days after He went to the Father.
That alone should tell you something............
I mean come on now. lol... Do you think the Father said hey Son - you are not ever to set foot in that earth again ....No sir I dont believe this is true.
There is No Scripture that says Jesus can Not show Him self to us. No sir not one.
Yes you can arguer that Jesus and God are one - However scripture says Jesus sits on the Right side of the Father.......( Mark 16:19 )
They say we can not see God with these natural eyes but nothing about Jesus in this new body.
Blessings
Jim
Jim. I want you to know what a blessing you are. Because of your comments I am allowed to open up the Word of God and get it out to all how read what we say!
Your comment was...........
"She said she saw Jesus - You quote seeing God - I dunno but from here it looks as if you are talking about something different all together."
John 14:6& 7........
"Let not your heart be troubled;
ye belieive in God, believe also in me".
"If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also, and from ye know Him and have seen Him".
Luke 16:19...........
“So then after the Lord had spoken unto them,
He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God."
The Bible says in Luke 22:69.......
"Hereafter shall the Son of man
sit on the right hand of the power of God”.
Matthew 26:63-66.........
"But Jesus was silent. Then the high priest said to him, "I put you under oath before the living God
, tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God." Jesus said to him, "You have said so. But I tell you, From now on you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven."
Hebrews 8:1..............
"Now of the things which we spoken this is the main point: We have a high priest,
who is set on the right hand o throne of the Majesty in heaven".
So then according to the Scriptures, Jesus is in fact God! Where is He????? The Bible sayis that He is sitting at the right hand of God in heaven as our advocate.
Then we have this comment............
"Jesus first born again man ( revelation 1:5 )
So Jesus received the new body which is the same body we will receive.
It is in this body that folks saw Him for 40 days after He went to the Father."
Now that is Biblical. What the question was and still is however is..........
since there are no pictures or paintings or description of Jesus, how would anyone know that it was in fact Jesus that they saw????? Could it have been John the Baptist? Paul??? Daniel?? Think it through. How would anyone know who it was that they saw in a vision.
No human has ever seen Jesus in His true image as a spirit Being as stated in John 4:24.......
"in
all of His fullness, glory, and splendor".
When God, the Word, appeared on Earth 2,000 years ago, He came in a veiled form. In his letter to the church at Philippi 2:6-7........
"the apostle Paul mentioned that Christ—Who had existed in heaven “in the form of God”—“made Himself of no reputation,” and took on the “likeness of men”.
Mankind saw an embodiment of deity as Jesus dwelt on Earth in the form of a man. Men saw “the Word” that “became flesh.” Likewise, when Jacob “struggled with God” in Genesis 32:28, He saw only a form of God, not the spiritual, invisible, omnipresent God Who fills heaven and Earth as told to us in Jeremiah 23:23-24.
Then we have this.............
"Do you think the Father said hey Son - you are not ever to set foot in that earth again ....No sir I dont believe this is true.
Zech. 14:1-4.................
"Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south."
Acts 1:11 ............
"Men of Galilee," they said. "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."
Acts 3:19-21 ...........
"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you - even Jesus. He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets."
Then we have this.............
"
There is No Scripture that says Jesus can Not show Him self to us. No sir not one."
I will let the above speak for itself.
