MESSAGE #130

INTRODUCING THE NEED - Part 3

... continued from Part 2 "Our Worldliness Simply Has to Go!!"

The content of this VERY Special series of Messages needs to be HEARD by every Western Christian throughout the World, not just a few of us here. THAT'S HOW IMPORTANT IT IS!! It will introduce you to how massive the need is. But please don't allow yourself to be blown away by the LARGE FIGURES and SERIOUSNESS of the situation. Just read it and let the Holy Spirit slowly bring it, and the significance of it all, into your heart over the next little while.

10-40window-red.jpg

In the 10/40 Window are the countries stretching across Asia from China in the East all the way to Northern Africa in the West. In this Window are virtually all the people in the world today who are the most UNREACHED for Christ. Did you get that? - THIS IS WHERE ALMOST 100% OF THE MOST UNREACHED PEOPLE IN THE WORLD LIVE!!! (shown in RED on the map.)

SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

FIRST, it means that many, if not most of them would not have even HEARD OF JESUS (i.e., His name!!), much less have actually heard the good news of the Gospel like all of us have been SO, SO privileged to hear!!! The number of souls still UNREACHED for Jesus is so large, that it is almost HALF the population of our earth!! Therefore:

SECONDLY, it couldn't POSSIBLY be more clear that our primary Missionary focus MUST BE in the 10/40 Window, to the 3 billion people there who are STILL waiting to hear the Gospel of Jesus!!! Romans Ch 10:14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? God is asking us: "How can they believe in Jesus when they've NOT heard about Him?"

HOW THEN WE CAN MEET THIS GREAT NEED?

QUESTION: But what can I possibly do about it? - about this unbelievably massive need? ANSWER: the same way you eat an elephant - one bite at a time. TRUTH: You and I CAN make a difference!! We CAN - AND WE MUST! That is, we DO NOT allow ourselves to be put off by the enormity of the task! What we do is START RIGHT IN, to do as much as we possibly can. I ask you this: HOW CAN WE POSSIBLY DO LESS? And I am going to tell you how almost UNBELIEVABLY EASY this is to do, starting right away! But first I need to introduce you to the Dalits.

THE "UNTOUCHABLES"

India, with a population of over 1 billion people is the second largest nation in the world. It lies within the 10/40 Window and has hundreds of millions of the MOST UNREACHED people on earth - including also THE SADDEST PEOPLE ON EARTH, because countless millions of them live in VIRTUAL SLAVERY!! You may have thought slavery was done and finished with in the world today - BUT THIS IS NOT SO!!

child.jpg

To explain: India has had a Hindu "caste" system for the past 3,000 years. The HIGHEST CASTE members have much of the things this world can offer, much like ourselves. Go down the caste system through the middle castes, to the low castes, then to the very lowest caste known as the "Untouchables" or Dalits. Most of the 300 million Dalits struggle with constant poverty, but much WORSE is being literally treated by all other castes as less than human, their status being lower than animals. Through countless generations, vast numbers of them live in virtual slavery to higher caste people, INCLUDING women and little children!!!

A SHOCKING CASE STUDY

Higher castes literally WILL NOT TOUCH a lower caste member like these Dalits. The report below is an example of daily occurrences for millions of dear Dalit people. Read below and weep:

dalits-poverty.jpg

"Maya Devi, a 28-year-old Dalit (Untouchable) woman, writhed in labor pains outside the maternity wing of a medical college as her sister and neighbor looked on helplessly April 23. Seven hours after doctors denied her treatment at the hospital in Uttar Pradesh, India, she gave birth to a baby boy. The baby died minutes after being born due to a lack of medical help. Devi died the next day from massive complications.

According to a report by the Press Trust of India, the hospital's chief superintendent and other doctors refused to touch Devi or provide her with medical treatment while she was in labor because of her caste."

Moment of Death

A Moment of Death

As I walked back to my office from my lunch break, I looked down and saw it laying there. It was tiny, black and dead. As I continued down the sidewalk, my mind wandered what brought this creature, God’s creation to it’s death. Was it poison, did someone step on it, or did it just give up on living?

My mind has been heavy with my own struggles of what could be my moment of death. Praises to our Lord for saving me! He has awesomely blessed me with his love, grace mercy and forgiveness. I must stand on his love. I must fill myself with his spirit.
In those tempting times of life, I must continue to stand strong on his love and his plan for this broken vessel that he is restoring.

I was standing there at the kitchen counter. He came up behind me. Those strong arms felt so comforting. The light kisses on my neck brought chills to my body. The aroma from his cologne perforated my nostrils. The bulge that came from the front of his pants was tantalizing me and calling me. As our bodies became entangled together, I was lost. As my chest hardened wanting to be touched, my body was heating up. Thoughts were racing through my mind. They were not thoughts of God. No, they were thoughts from the enemy. The enemy was saying “ Go ahead, let me in. Let me fill you, let me make you feel good”. There was another voice that spoke. That voice told me this could be your moment of death. Have you not learned what can happen? Have you not learned of the consequences of sexual sin? Do you not know that this one pleasurable moment can be your moment of death? You will die. You see, I have learned that when we sin, we do die. We become separated from god. We become separated in body, mind, soul and spirit. We are not in God’s presence when we are in our sinful nature. The moment lasted longer than it should have. However, victory was found, victory that came with believing in the Lord. Believing comes with having faith. I did not give in to the moment of death. Believe you me, it was a close call.

However, recently I learned of a young 15 year old girl that had her moment of death. Her and her friend were at a house with two guys who where older than them.
The one young gal ended up having sex with one of the guys. This was the first time that this young gal had sex. She lost her virginity. She also lost much more. She had her moment of death. The few minutes of pleasure cost her life. You see, the guy she had sex with was HIV positive. Praise the Lord, that the other young gal did not have sex. The two girls ended up going home and telling their parents of what happened. It was too late. The young girl was pregnant and positive for HIV. Both of the guys ended up in jail. One for having sex with the one girl and the other for sexual misconduct with a minor. He will now be registered as a sex offender. His moment of death has arrived.

A few months ago, God led me to a young 24 year old gal. Come to find out, she was a recovering drug addict. She had led a life being addicted to cocaine. She still struggles. Last night she and I attended an awesome prayer service. This warming church is a church of restoration and healing. As we kneeled in prayer, I prayed for both her and me.. I prayed for all the people that came to hear God’s word. As prayer ended, the Bishop began to speak. Man did he speak! He spoke of how there is nothing “in the world” for the young folks except STD’s. Whoa! How mighty I know that! I lived it! His words spoke of getting high and drunk. You may be asking yourself why a Bishop would tell people to go get high and drunk. He told us all there that we should be getting high and drunk on the Holy Spirit! It is time to give up the drugs, the booze, sex and all else that is stealing your life. It is time to stand firm in God’s spirit. He stated there would be temptations that would come into our life. If we find ourselves standing in a place of temptation, we need to turn around and run. Just think, if that young 15 year old gal would have turned around and run where her life could be now.

Upon arriving home, my friend and I reflected on God’s word we had heard.
She knows that the next line of cocaine she does could be the potent one that is her moment of death. I know that the next sexual sin I would find myself in could be my moment of death. Through all of this, there is one major point we all need to know.
God is our prescription for our addictions. His son Jesus died on that cross for you, for me, for the 15 year old girl, for my recovering drug addict friend, he died for all. He died so that we may have life. When we come face to face with the Moments of Death, may we turn, run like we never ran before, and cry out to him. He will catch us. He will lead us. He is always there. He will never leave you at any moment of your life. He forgives us for those past moments, but we need to repent and turn away from any future moments of Death. Won’t you put your sneakers of faith, believing and trust on with me, and start running and turning to victory?

Oh, BM, I don't understand why the innocent people have to suffer so. I can't imagine growing up feeling like I was less than a person. It makes you wonder why some countries suffer like this. Could it simply be because they have never allowed God to be part of their culture, and instead accepted other gods?

I'm the kind of person who wants to just go to these people and help them somehow, but I could get swallowed up in my zeal. If it were up to me, and I were single, I would live so differently. But, when you do not have a partner who holds the same standards, it is so discouraging. Somehow, I know I must try to do what I can. I am sponsoring a little girl through Compassion right now, but there are so many others in much more harm.

Like you said, you have to take one at a time and just do what you can. After all, this world is not our home. It's but a vapor, and we must have our minds on things other than selfish wants. I just pray that I can keep my mind on things above and the things that will last for eternity. Thank you for your latest postings. Love, Sweets.

Yep - DEATH to LIFE!

We are all WALKING MIRACLES of our mighty God, aren't we? He Who has transformed us from living death into the very LIFE of His Blessed Son!! Whoo-hoo!!!

And if that's not plumb AWESOME then I don't know what awesome means!!

Thankyou so much Sweets, for such a lovely and thoughtful post in response to my Part 3.

Our suffering is because of our SIN, of course. NONE of us are innocent!

But yes, I say that the plight of the Dalits is nothing less than A WORLD SHAME!!! Or a shame on ALL OF US, if you like, that they have to live in virtually slavery. And your caste is inherited from all of your forebears - whether you like it or not!! How SAD!

Your prayer for yourself is one for us all:

"I just pray that I can keep my mind on things above and the things that will last for eternity."

Indeed, and Amen!

It was unreal for me to see your posts and the numbers. Of course I need to take a geography class to understand where all the countries are.

I never liked geography class in school.

I shared your message with my one co-worker. At service Tuesday night he was talking about the body of the church and how we all have gifts and must use them to serve God and he said to my coworker, isn't that right Sister Carolyn as she has a gift of evangelising. I sent her the message and showed her the numbers, she replied back. I best get busy and keep asking the Lord to keep filling me.

We all get weary, but the good Lord gives us the strength we need to keep going.

Here is a pic of the children where I had supported when I was at my old church.
Thanks for the awesome post and the awesome reminder.

Ok so I am learning so much about the need of the word to get out to the world,

I read this article this morning:

Thousands evacuated from floods in eastern India
Thu Aug 28, 5:35 AM ET

PATNA, India (Reuters) - Indian army troops helped evacuate more than 120,000 people from floods in eastern India, but more bad weather raised fears that rivers would to continue to overflow, officials said on Thursday. ADVERTISEMENT

The flooding, which officials say are the worst in 50 years, was caused after the Kosi river broke a dam in Nepal where it originates, unleashing huge waves of water that smashed mud embankments downstream in Bihar state.

Many villagers offered prayers and slaughtered goats to appease the Kosi, known as Bihar's "river of sorrow" for its regular floods and ability to change course.
"We are praying to the river goddess and offering her blood since only she can help us," a village woman in the worst affected Supaul district told a local newspaper.

At least two million people have been forced from their homes and a quarter of a million houses destroyed. So far 55 deaths have been officially reported in Bihar, but activists and local media put the toll many times higher.
Stranded villagers complained of an unbearable stench from rotting carcasses and the United Nations warned of the spread of water-borne disease.
TV stations showed swirling flood waters pouring into homes through windows, submerging hundreds of villages and roads and railway tracks. Telephone and power lines snapped.
Torrential rains have killed more than 1,000 people in South Asia since the monsoon began in June, mainly in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh, where 725 people have lost their lives. Other deaths were reported from Nepal and Bangladesh.
Some experts blame the floods on heavier monsoon rains caused by global warming, while others say authorities have failed to take preventive measures and improve infrastructure.

Notice I highlighted in Bold, how they prayed to the River Goddess.
I am learning more and more of how other parts of the world are.

Like you said, you have to take one at a time and just do what you can.

This so reminds me of a story. Its an old one, and if you've heard it already, forgive me. But I think it bears repeating.

A man was walking along the sea shore and saw hundreds upon hundreds of starfish washed up on the beach. There was no hope of getting back into the water before they dried up and died. Down the beach a ways, he saw a young man picking up a starfish and throwing it as far as he could into the water. Then, he'd bend down and pick up another and throw it in.

The man walked up to the younger one, "You'll never have time to save all these starfish," he said, "They will die before you can get to all of them. What does it matter?"

The young man picked up another one and threw it in the water. "It mattered to that one."

My apologies

First of all , thank you for my friends for their continued honesty with me.

It is through your heartfelt words and encourgament that I continue to learn. Thank you for the PM's and the emails you send in helping me strengthen my walk.

I want to apologize if I offended anyone with my post of Moment of Death or if any of the other writings have offended you in any way.

I have alot to learn in regards to my writing - one of them being to slow down before posting the thoughts that come to my mind.

May we all continue to learn and be strengthened by the Lord's love.

Last Days !!

It has not flooded this bad in India in 50 years they say. Doesn't this sound like one of the plagues in the last days? The rotting flesh and waters being poisoned? And, since 911, it seems there has been much chaos in regards to disasters and weather-related calamities. Does anyone think this could the a shadow of what is coming soon? The Tribulation period? The world is trying to blame it on global warming or making it seem like it is man's own fault. They don't think of the fact that nature is just obeying God's commands and that it is man's fault . . . for not acknowledging the God of the universe and asking forgiveness for the sins of our nations. Just as some are making sacrifices to their gods and goddesses, who are "dead in the water" (pun intended) and not bowing down to God and pleading with Him to forgive them their sins.

Oh, how He wants them to know how crazy He is about them and wants to set them free so they can rid their country of all the starvation and diseases because they are His children. Just because they are His children.

I read somewhere on this forum, on someone's post, about how people were praying 24/7 for a revival I think, and have been doing that for quite some time. I believe it was called Fire Something, or IHOP maybe. I believe it will be the prayers and intersessors who will make the difference. They are like the prophet who pleaded with God to spare Israel and not destroy them or punish them before they were taken captive. Or Lot, who pleaded for the salvation of Sodom and Gomorrah, so that God would spare a few more. They don't want anyone to be lost in their sin before the trumpet sounds. And we should be praying that way too. But we also need to be sending funds to missionaries and supporting the ones out there who are working in the trenches to bring the Word to just one more soul.

God help me, if that person who suggested this forum site to me, would have failed to do so, I would still be seeking, or maybe not. I may not have been alive today. I was so discouraged that the Mormon church was not what I was seeking. I was beginning to wonder if there was even a God. But, God in His mercy sent one of His children to direct me to the right place where I would find all my questions answered.

Praise God! Help me to hear You when You call my name and direct me to one of your Lost Sheep. In whatever way it would help, direct me Heavenly Father I pray! Amen.

I want to apologize if I offended anyone with my post of Moment of Death or if any of the other writings have offended you in any way.

You certainly HAVE NOT offended me; I have just been too busy to read and enjoy your writings. I want to read them though, you write very well...wonderful spiritual insights. :D

Love to all:groupray:

It's great to have shared this with others! Way to go!! THAT'S A TASK WE MUST ALL TAKE ON!!!

Yes, the numbers are SHOCKING!

We do indeed need to be daily asking the Lord to KEEP FILLING US WITH HIS SPIRIT - then to REST IN HIS POWER in us, to keep us going and enable us to do what we need to do to be OBEYING Him and to PLEASE HIM!!!

Bless you hon!

DOES bear repeating, cos it's SO PERTINENT to the very task that we're ALL faced with. IT'S TOO BIG!! But we gotta just start anyway!

In the story I heard the man said at the end, "Made a diffence to that one!" A great analogy!

Thanks, Fluf!

ASIA AND THE 10/40 WINDOW

Sweets, you're a legend!! I'm amazed at the understanding and insight the Lord gives you.

Even tho this was BAD flooding, the monsoon does flood Bangladesh and areas round about EVERY YEAR. Our large and amazing missionary group there, of all local and highly committed indigenous men and women (who I'll be telling you about asap), and who are ministering in all these areas, are always having to get out and help with one natural disaster or another! Which of course takes man-power - and strangely enough MONEY as well!!! They are SUCH AMAZING Christians!!! (whose astonishing Christian lives I'm in awe of, and have to try not to envy!!)

The world IS changing. What or who is responsible for this, none of we "ordinary folk" are ever likely to know - tho it has to be said that for some centuries now sinful mankind has NOT been helping our natural world that we need to live in - but even worse in recent time. Where it ends, only God knows. AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHERE MY FAITH AND TRUST AND RESTFULNESS LIES!!

Meantime we have this major task to do what we can in Asian countries like India and Bangladesh and more. We CAN only "Make a difference to that one" - or maybe even TWO!! God expects us to LIVE SIMPLY AND UNWORLDLY SO THIS CAN HAPPEN - NOT IN LUXURY! THAT WILL PLEASE HIM - NOTHING LESS WILL!!!

You've also raised the other part of the equation: WE GIVE; WE ALSO PRAY. We can make a difference, hallelujah!!! God responds to our earnest prayers, bless His name!!!

Yep, we are SO grateful to whoever led you here. You are such a blessing. Seeing what God's done in your life is just such awesomeness!!

Lots a love,

PRACTICAL NEW TESTAMENT CHRISTIANITY

MESSAGE #131

WORKING TOWARDS MAKING AN ASTONISHING DIFFERENCE!! - Part 4

...continued from Part 3 "Introducing the Need"

It's SO easy to feel really overwhelmed with the size of the need I set out in Part 3 - maybe NOT EVEN REALISING that your inner man, with a sense of deep despair, is feeling, "But what can I do?" I sure understand, for I've felt this so deeply myself!! BUT NOT ANY MORE! How so? - because the Lord has shown me that if I help change the life of JUST ONE PERSON in the 10/40 Window, then I'm OBEYING His command!!

QUESTION: How much is just one life actually worth? Answer: the total sacrificial death of the King of Heaven on Calvary's Cross, THAT'S HOW MUCH!!!

Okay, this most crucial series of Messages I've ever written started with:
Part 1: "THE QUESTION OF OUR PURITY BEFORE OUR GOD" - both PHYSICAL PURITY and SPIRITUAL PURITY. Most of us are aware of the first, but NOT of the second. Therefore:-
Part 2: "OUR WORLDLINESS SIMPLY HAS TO GO!!" - because He says that conforming to this world as we all do, MAKES US ENEMIES OF GOD!! Time to look seriously at MAJOR CHANGE, right?
Part 3: "INTRODUCING THE NEED" - this shows where we've utterly FAILED to reach out to 3 billion souls - almost half the world!! - who are waiting to hear about the Lord Jesus Christ!!
If you are perhaps getting tired of WAITING for me to tell you HOW you can EASILY make a difference, my sincere apologies! A Series like this has to develop as I go along, and as the Lord guides me - and so it sure don't always go as planned! :sad01_anim: What I'm basically saying here is: blame the Lord, not me! hee!! When we do get there I can promise you a feeling of Spiritual excitement - and deep inner satisfaction - that maybe you've never felt before!! Meantime, Beloved and I know full-well that extricating oneself from the world isn't easy and can take a lot of effort and time!

I've been trying here to show you:

(a) WHY you MUST do this for yourself (Parts 1 and 2), and

(b) Now (Part 3) I've set forth WHAT we then simply MUST do for others, as a result of choosing to make a serious life-change for the Lord Who we (say we) love!

NEXT: I expect/hope (He's the boss as to what happens next!!)...

...to tell you how you can start evangelising,
wonderfully simply and easily,
towards changing lives in the 10/40 Window -

UPDATE

Okay, guys, it's happening again! We're pretty confident that this legal stuff we're involved in WILL still work in the end, but meantime the amount of stuff and complications that are going on every day, day after day after day, are killing us. Because of the affects of my ill-health, Beloved is bearing the biggest load, and it's just TOO MUCH! I can only presume that your prayers are the ONLY reason one of both of us haven't totally collapsed.

So if I'm a bit slow with posts, pm's or whatever, that will be the reason.

Thankyou for understanding, and we certainly need your continued prayers till this is FINISHED and OVER!!

All our love,

- BM
