Oh my beloved Mr. Moose.... THANK you for the wonderful fizzy drink. Your presence in the GARAGE has brought me GREAT JOY over these last months. If you haven't noticed.... I LOVE SILLY... I love to LAUGH and CELEBRATE the GOODNESS of GOD. He is so dedicated to WANTING His children to ENJOY life. I have learned to appreciate and now... even EXPECT JOY... At one time in my life... JOY seemed so elusive and now it is with me all the day long... each and every day. It is GRATITUDE and THANKSGIVING that feeds this JOY.... and it is something that I am so GRATEFUL for... because in all of my adult life... I never experienced it.

I am thankful that this little humble place called the GARAGE brings forth a true and pure essence of JOY.

I have been thinking about what is going to happen on January 1st of next year regarding this place. I would like to start over and retire the thread as an archive effective December 31st. I'm not sure how to actually do that... but I am thinking that I would like to start over with a new name for my 2025 "journal".

Someone who knows how the site works would surely know how to archive the Garage and place a fresh thread in the fellowship section.

What do you all think of that idea??

A change of plans for today... I am no longer watching the hounds today and tomorrow.... my landlords cancelled their adventure.... so... I am free... HA.

If we all just move over to the new Journal with you, this one should archive itself due to a lack of use.
 
In Awe of Him - Just send me a PM when you are ready to start the next one and I will create a new "Garage Archive" storage location as a sub-area in the "Fellowship Time" main area. It will still be available for viewing in that new area and we can even close it to new posts if you wish.

Good morning my beautiful forum family ( who I absolutely LOVE )...

Well... It's FRIDAY!!!!!! and I am off for a little adventure today. I am going to take the bus this morning and visit our BIG mall. I don't often go to the big mall because I live so close to our other mall and that has everything I need including a grocery store... Giant Tiger and Shoppers Drug Mart. I need to go to Walmart so I usually include a little walk to the other stores so that I can view the things I will NOT be buying. HA.

I went in the lake yesterday.... like seriously... I can't even explain why I do such strange things. It was a balmy 12.7 C and actually hurt my skin to go in but once I was in... oh my goodness... it was an experience. I do believe that will truly be my last swim as I was not able to stay in for very long... it took more time convincing myself that I should go in than my entire duration in the lake... I think 15 degrees C is about the best level of coldness that I can handle because that was not painful... it was just uncomfortable. Anyways... my little streak of rebelliousness was appeased. HA.

We seem to be having another little few days of what we call Indian summer where the temps are in the mid teens. It's funny to watch the neighbours doing the stuff in their yards that they were trying very hard to neglect... but had to attend to due to the streak of warmer temps. Once this week-end is over.... we are back to game on winter. The last few years... the snow has been delayed but the cold weather certainly comes full swing.

I really need to get to my jigsaw puzzling but I can't seem to get in the groove so I won't push it.

Anyways... not much to say but I wanted to check in. I am so delighted that we have a new home "purchased" in the woods for 2025... I just love the name that Dave came up with.... the cabin...Oh my goodness.. it's BRILLIANT.

So... Happy Friday.... May you all be filled with the PEACE... JOY.. and LOVE of CHRIST.

Happy Day, In Awe of Him;

I'm in a Garage mood this morning.

We are shopping more at Target because I'm in and out with the necessities of our toiletries and food items. I understand Target closed all their stores in Canada because of competition with superstores Costco, Walmart and Little Tiger.

Swimming in cold water in the lake for some people can be exhilarating and lower stress levels. If I went swimming in cold water would demoralize me and increase the stress of being in cold water. Come to think of it, now I know when every person who told me to "go jump in a lake" wasn't to satisfy me but to go away. lol!

Now that the temperature is cooling in Canada have you considered going swimming in a warm pool @ 28c? A warm pool provides good circulation, muscle relaxation and an overall good form of exercise.

I'm looking forward to the Cabin in 2025 and discussing new topics like food, outdoor activities, sports instead of puzzles and wondering if I'm going to do my puzzle.

BOB.... BOB.... BOB.... I love it when you are funny... If you went in the cold water.... you would qualify to BOB...HAHAHAHA... Oh wait... that only counts when you are dunking your head to fetch an apple. Did anyone actually do this as a game... BOBBING for apples?? I did but never could get one because I did not want my NOSE going in the water. HA
