Yes as sons of God which we are as Christian we are not what we will be "asexual" the bride , called the mother of us all .Pictured in in all glory no longer subject to time under the Sun (“Revelation 12:1-2) .
1 John 3:1Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon
us, that we should be called the
sons of God: therefore the world knoweth
us not, because it knew him not.Beloved, now are
we the
sons of God, and it
doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
It has much to do with the defining words .The words "sons of God" mixed with the word "angel" in Greek as messnger or Malik in Hebrew a word that simply means messengers with no other meaning added or taken from it . Those sent with the gospel, called apostles. The chief prophet and apostle sent by the father is the Son of man Jesus .His goal was . . ".Not as I will according to the flesh" but as his father the will and power of the Holy Spirit.
Job is used as that kind of messenger (son of God) In his daily prayer he would enter the throne room or golden bowl of prayer and make his request known.
On one occasion the accuser of the brethren who accuses mankind day and night was accusing them. Our Holy Father said to Him have you tried the angel or messenger Job? Now job as a messenger had no power to rebuke the spirit of error. Our father rebuked him when he offered the challenge
Job 1:5-8 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. Now there was a day when the
sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
The same with the reference to the sons of God in Genesis 6. Great men moved by the faith of Christ.. They were violating the law of the seed (spiritual) not to be unevenly yoked with the daughters of men. Daughters of men or mankind is used to denote natural un-redeemed mankind . The seed Christ was in jeopardy .
There were men of renown like Noah even after the flood . David as giant of faith is shown defeating the renown of the enemy .called faithless Goliath . When Jesus came the genealogy of the seed (spiritual) as a shadow of good things to come came to fulfillment
Garee.....I have to admit that I have trouble grasping what you are saying. Is English your first language???? I am sure that it is just me and I apologize for saying that but it seems that because of my lack of correct understanding of your comments, what I respond with does not come across correctly.
Now having said that allow me to say clearly that we are "Sons of God" through faith and acceptance of God's Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. That action places us in the family of God.
Now, when we are either Raptured or dead we will receive "Glorified" bodies as is stated in 1 Corinthians 15:51-53.......
"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."
So then when we are in heaven, after the "resurrection" we will be like the angels of heaven. That is what God told us in Matthew 22:30,......
"
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven."
The question raised by the Sadducees was meant to demonstrate the absurdity of a resurrection of the dead. They had asked about the wife married to seven consecutive brothers on earth and wanted to know which brother was she going to be having sexual realtions with in heaven.
God said to them that there isn't any contradiction or complication, at all. Resurrected human beings will be like angels in one respect:
Men will not marry, and women will not be given in marriage. Marriage, the pairing of couples for life, will cease to exist there.
As eternal beings, angels do not reproduce, making marriage and sexual relations impossible. God then said that Humans will exist in that non-married, non-reproducing status, as well.
We will be just as are the angels in heaven.......
.ASEXUAL!
Then you quoted Revelation 12:1-2.
As the Revelation is a book of Prophecy, there is NO church doctrine to be gleaned from it. The Church is not seen after the last verse and last word of chapter 3.
The "Bride" of Christ which is the Church is not seen again until Rev. 19 when it comes with the host of heaven at Armageddon to see the end of all things. The marriage supper of the Lamb will take place after the Church has been taken to Heaven in the Rapture and following the judgment seat of Christ, but it will happen before we return with Christ to earth at His glorious appearing.
Then you posted Job 1:5-8.
Again it is probably me, but the "Sons of God" in those Scriptures are fallen angels, demons. CONTEXT always determines exegesis and in verse #6 says that "
sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. And the Lord said unto Satan".
God was in heaven so this is must be a heavenly scene as Satan has come with his followers TO GOD! Location and CONTEXT demands that this is a heavenly scene and the "sons of God" there were demonic, fallen angels.
Now for Genesis 6:1...........
"And it came to pass, when
men began to multiply o
n the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,".
Again, CONTEXT and LOCATION is what determines correct exegesis. That being the case then we can clearly see that MEN are the context and the EARTH is the Location. SO this is an earthly scene.
There is nothing the demands the "Sons of God" in verse #2 is anything other that MEN on the earth just as it literally says.
There are several teaching on who these people were and I have studied them in depth. IMPHO, the "Sons of God" in Genesis 6 were the Godly descendants of Seth intermarrying with wicked descendants of Cain. I say that because the teaching from God in Matthew 22:30 rules out them being fallen angels
because angels do not reproduce!!!
Again, in my humble opinion, "Men of Renown" simply means that these men were well known.....literlly in the Hebrew is "Men with a Name/Reputation".
Again.....I am not sure, but it may be that we are saying the same thing but in different ways.
God bless you for the time taken to read this post!
